Gonzaga’s Center for Lifelong Learning Makes Education Programming From Nationally Ranked Gonzaga University Accessible for All

SPOKANE, WA (March 5, 2024) — According to the National Skills Coalition (NSC), 92% of jobs analyzed require digital skills, yet one-third of workers don’t have the foundational digital skills necessary to enter and thrive in today’s jobs. To support today's ever-evolving workforce needs, Gonzaga University, one of U.S. News and World Report’s top-100 national universities, today announced its launch of new online programs.

Through a collaboration with Ziplines Education, a continuing-education company that partners with universities to deliver industry-focused certificate courses that prepare professionals for today’s digital-first workforce, the courses are available for registration at: gonzaga.edu/center-for-lifelong-learning/professional-development.

"We are incredibly proud of Gonzaga University’s offerings, especially in our ability to meet students where they are, both in their lives and in their professional careers,” said Rachelle Strawther, Ed.D, founding director of Gonzaga’s Center for Lifelong Learning. “Our mission is to create innovative pathways for people from all backgrounds and educational levels to learn and grow at Gonzaga, and partnering with Ziplines Education enables us to deliver on this mission faster and more effectively.”

Ken Anderson, Dean of Gonzaga’s School of Business Administration, is excited about the new opportunities the collaboration will provide.

“We are thrilled to partner with Ziplines Education,” said Anderson. “Together, we are delivering outstanding business content to working professionals, adult learners, and others who want to learn new and relevant skills.”

By partnering with Gonzaga University, Ziplines Education combines business-application software with experiential learning from industry experts, delivering cost-effective, innovative programs that prepare continuing-education students for high-growth careers. For individuals seeking to refresh their skills, as well as earn new certifications so they can pivot to a new career or position, Gonzaga University offers the following programs:

  • Digital Marketing learners leave the program with industry-recognized qualifications and certifications in HubSpot, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Business Analytics learners earn five Tableau micro-credentials during the course, and are prepared to take the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification exam.

"We’re excited to partner with Gonzaga University to offer two new programs as they bolster their efforts to close the skills gap in the tech-adjacent workforce," said Sara Leoni, CEO and founder of Ziplines Education. “We proudly enable our university partners to quickly and seamlessly grow their portfolio of courses, meeting their students where they are to help them achieve their career-driven goals."
